The LRA provides for the appointment of Agents  "..to enforce any collective agreement concluded in that bargaining council"  – Labour Relations Act, Section 33

THE ROLE OF AGENTS IN NBCEI

The following processes are used to enforce the Collective Agreements in the Electrical Industry:

·         Conduct routine inspections at all registered establishments.

·         Investigation of complaints and resolution thereof.

·         Register new establishments falling within the scope of NBCEI

·         Educate employers and employees on the provisions of the Collective Agreements.

·         Promote NBCEI as an essential service to the Industry
